Fact 11: I’m really organized and messy at the same time.
I really like to keep things in order, and I like to make sure my bags, my wallets, purses, notebooks, planners and desks away from are perfectly organized and accessible - however my bedroom looks like a bomb went off in my closet during guerilla warfare. I think my biggest problem with that is that I’m just too lazy sometimes to really clean up, though to be honest I think I should start making it more of a habit to be clean (◡‿◡✿)

Fact 10: I have one older sibling.
My older brother is my only sibling and he is about 10 years older than I am. He was born in the spring of 1981, and I was born in the fall of 1991. Despite our age difference, we’re pretty close and he’s been my biggest inspiration and role model when it comes to doing what I do. He’s an artist just as much as I am, though he leans more towards a cartoon/animation type of industry, while I’m more illustrative/design based, and even though he tells me I’ve surpassed him in skill, it’s still really important to me that I get my big brother’s approval or opinion when it comes to my artwork.

Fact 9: Hellsing was my first immersion into a fandom
And besides Homestuck, it is the best fandom I have been apart of. The SoCal Hellsing cosplayers that I’ve known for the last few years have been more than just friends to me, they have grown to be my family. A lot of us have moved onto to bigger and better things in our cosplay lives, but Hellsing always brings us back together. Last Fall, a lot of had brought our costumes out of retirement and headed to Anime Vegas, where we partook in the Hellsing event the con was having, getting front row seats in the panel, meeting our favorite voice actors and finally getting our questions answered about the rerelease of the series. It was such a great experience and it will always be my best experience - because we’re all family.

Fact 6: I have never sat through an entire Horror Movie
I’m a really big chicken and can’t handle being scared or watching horror-anything, especially jump scares. I really don’t handle them well, so I don’t go out searching for them. It’s why I have never sat through an entire horror movie. A lot of my friends who enjoy horror movies always tell me that the ones we watch aren’t scary or aren’t so bad, but because I’m the type of person who can scare herself by thinking too hard, it… sort of doesn’t matter to me!
Fact 7: I’m really bad at Video Games, especially FPS
The only FPS games that I am even remotely good at or close to good at are Left 4 Dead, and Portal. Portal is totally different for me though since it’s more of a puzzle game and that’s my genre next to fighting games and RPGs. I’m really terrible at them though when it comes down to it, but I still enjoy them!
Fact 8: I’ve been in the Homestuck fandom for less than a year.
I started reading Homestuck in September 2011 after my summer quarter at school finished. I managed to catch up to where Homestuck was in as little as two weeks of reading straight, and was able to be up to speed with the fandom by Cascade. Dave Strider was my first Homestuck cosplay and Meenah Peixes is my latest.

Fact 5: Scanty from PSG was the first cosplay I ever sewed by myself.
Considering that Scanty was my seventh or eighth costume says a lot, especially if it was the first cosplay I ever made by myself. I’ve had minor sewing experience with pervious costumes, like making scarves or sewing belts, but Scanty was a full uniform that I made from scratch with the generous help of my friends. It’s still needs a lot of touching up, and I’d love to remale the costume some day, but for now, it’s not so bad.

Fact 3: I have two Loungefly Hello Kitty Purses
This one to be exact, except not in this color. I have one Mint Green one, and on White one. These purses usually go retail wise for at least $68 a bag, however I didn’t get both purses. In reality, I only bought the white one as a gift for myself from Macy’s (where I work) on discount, while I got the mint green one from a friend who so generously bought one for me. I’m saving up to get a matching wallet for the green purse so I can use that one more since it’s my favorite color. In the meantime, the white one is the one I use most.
Fact 4: I have been Cosplaying since 2005
My first cosplay was when I was 13 years old, and my grandmother made me a Kagome Higurashi costume for my second Anime Expo in 2005. I’m 20 now, and my most recent costume that I’ll be making is Avatar Korra for Anime Expo 2012.

Fact 2: In High School, I used to be Goth.
The reason behind it was really just because I wanted to redefine myself coming out of middle school. I was going to a school where none of my old middle school classmates were going to, and I wanted to have an image - a dark, gothic image that was somewhat difficult to pull off at an all-girls private Catholic High School.

Fact 1: I wear a size 9 in Women’s Shoes
Though, depending on the brand, I can wear between an 8, 8.5, or 9. Usually for sneakers and slip ons I wear an 8.5, while with boots and closed toed heels, I wear a 9. I also happen to have a lot of shoes, at least over a dozen, with a good majority of them being boots or high heels.
